Claus Leggewie

Claus Leggewie (*1950) is professor for political science at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. He has taught at several European universities and is co-director of the Centre for Global Cooperation Research in Duisburg. From 2007 to 2017, he has also been director of the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities Essen (KWI). Claus Leggewie is editor of the journal "Blätter für deutsche und internationale Politik“, Berlin, and of "Transit", Vienna. He is honorary doctor of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Rostock (2008). His most recent work deals with participatory democracy ("Die Konsultative", 2016) and with the future of Europe ("Die Anti-Europäer", 2016; “Europa zuerst. Eine Unabhängigkeitserklärung”, 2017).
